What are Bizzle Bites?

Hi to those out there in the blogging world! This is my second post ever on a blog so bare with me...

If you are new to my blog, welcome. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to check out my blog. As you know (from reading my prior post 'About Me') my name is Heidi and I make Bizzle Bites or otherwise known to most of the worldly population as cake pops. If you are new to the cake pop revolution like I once was, I will give you the basic gist of a cake pop.

Cake pops are basically these yummy, little, delicious balls of cake goodness on a stick coated in a candy shell. Angie Dudley aka Bakerella, is famously known for her cake pops. After reading both her blog and book, I have been entranced by these little confectionery morsels of bliss. And after making them I can see why she loves them so and why they are such a hit. They are delicious!!!

So, with Bakerella as my inspiration and my undying love to bake sweet treats, I gave them a shot and made a batch or two for my youngest daughters birthday party. Success!!! They were a hit. So I thought why not make some more for some friends. And, again, they were consumed and raved about. And to those of you, you know who you are, thank you so much!

So with a couple cake pop successes under my belt and a very talented and super loving, computer literate friend, Bizzle Bites was born. Mind you Bizzle Bites aren't just any plain ordinary cake pop. These pops are made with lots of time and love while still remaining to taste like heaven on a 6 inch stick. They are literally amazing, bite-size morsels of heavenly goodness. :)

Cake pops are great for pretty much any occasion such as weddings, birthday parties, graduations, bridal showers or even just to sit down and consume in the privacy of your own home with the curtains closed. They come in all flavors and can be decorated to your personal liking. I haven't tackled  fondant covered or embellished pops yet, but will be learning that soon. With these little babies anything is possible and the sky is endless.

Thanks again for checking out Bizzle Bites. If you are interested in seeing what these bites are all about, give me a call or shoot me an email. I will have pricing and menus posted on this blog within a few days...I hope. I would love to share these bites with all and anyone willing to try them out. Why know about a good thing if you can't share them with the world right? Or at least the surrounding areas.  Try Bizzle Bites and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. What could be better then cake on a stick right?

About Me

My name is Heidi. And this is my story in a nut shell I guess.

Almost 12 years ago, I married my high school sweetheart, Jeff and moved to Everett and eventually Marysville where we have lived for the last 10 1/2 years. For the last 3 of those years, I have been a stay-at-home mom. I have worked in everything from retail to real estate as an escrow assistant to health care as a medical assistant.

One day 3 years ago, circumstances changed and my husband and I decided that I would stay home with our then 2 children and my husband would be the bread winner for the family for a while. Since then, we have been blessed with our third child, Isabelle, who just turned 2, and have had many adventures together as a family. My oldest, Lorelai is 7 and my middle child, Nate is 5. My kids definitely keep me and my husband busy most of the time and I love being at home with them. There just seemed to be something missing from my stay-at-home life.

I have always loved to bake! I have made desserts for friends, for church activities and for parties. And my favorite seems to be making cakes and brownies. But sometimes you just want a small piece of cake or just a bite of something without feeling committed to eat the whole 10 lb. cake or 5 lb. brownie! So after doing some research on the web one morning a few weeks ago (I by the way am a computer obsessed person) I read about Angie Dudley otherwise known as Bakerella and the amazing cake pops she makes. She is fantastic! What a concept. Who would of thought of putting cake on a stick. I had to have this book! I was way too far down on the library waiting list to wait this one out so after searching several stores I finally found and bought her book, "Cake Pops" by Bakerella. This people is must have book!!!

My daughter Isabelle's second birthday was coming up and I needed an idea for party favors to give her guests. So instead of going out and buying a bunch of little things most parents would not want their kids to have and end up throwing them away anyhow, I decided to make some cake pops instead. And to my utter shock, they were a hit! Granted they needed to be perfected a bit but were such a success. The kids loved them and their parents loved them. Score! Happy dance!

Since that day a month or so ago, I have since fallen in love with cake pops and have jumped on the cake pop revolution band wagon. Be it cake, brownie, cookie or cheesecake the cake pop foundation is limitless.
